About Lady Luck Tattoo Gallery

Lady Luck Tattoo Gallery books tattoos the old-fashioned way: face to face. Instead of an online form, you stop by the shop on the southeast corner of Guadalupe and Rural, flip through portfolios, and sit down with the artist you want to set your appointment in person. It's a small ritual, but it means every client meets their artist before the needle comes out. That approach has served South Tempe since October 2006, and the shop marks its 20th anniversary in 2026.

The roster is built from established local names. Tony, Kayla J, Renzo Rubio, Alex Pulido, Daniel Limon, and Mario G each bring their own following, and between them they cover black and grey, realism, crisp fine linework, and Chicano-inspired art. Clients keep coming back to Renzo for perfect lines and patient guidance with picky first-timers, and to Daniel for his warm, check-in-every-few-minutes approach. ASU's student newspaper, The State Press, named Lady Luck the Best Tattoo Parlor in its 2012 Best of ASU awards.

The atmosphere matches the name. Classic horror movies often play in the background, and the shop hosts monthly Friday the 13th flash events and Chicano and lowrider art shows that bring the community in. A strict 18-and-over policy, with no parental sign-offs, keeps things straightforward. With nearly 175 reviews averaging 4.7 stars, it's a longtime favorite for anyone searching for a tattoo shop in South Tempe.
